Havilak is a legally registered company and a member of COFTA, African version of WFTO and works with over 350 weavers mostly women in 3 districts of Upper East Region. It is also a registered exporter with Ghana Export Promotion Council. Havilak works strictly within the principles of Fairtrade and embarks on quality control management systems workshops for the weavers to produce high quality of Bolga basket also known as "original African straw basket". Our annual production capacity as at now is 36,000 pieces of basket. There is room to enroll a lot more weavers but for the orders available. We also produce to your specification and color if the need arises. All our products are handmade and environmentally friendly.
