The Electronic Thermostat comprises of a thermal sensor (NTC type thermistor probe) and an electronic control switch. The thermistor probe senses the evaporator’s out air temperature. Depending on the temperature sensed, the electronic switch turns ON/OFF the air-conditioner compressor through the relay. This prevents the evaporator core from freezing.
