Trade Lead Description:

The PET series of injection moulding machines from Jade Industrial Co.,Ltd is tailor made to making PET preforms large and small.

The PET series has large clearance between tiebars, large mould opening stroke, large maximum mould height and large ejection stroke. Since PET preforms are thick walled, the machine screw diameter is big to give sufficient shot weight. The screw is also long, having a length to diameter ratio of 24. Coupled with a barrier (double screw flight) design, the plasticizing capacity is high. This is on top of the high heating capacity of the barrel heaters.

The five members in the PET series cover a PET shot weight from 529 to 1880 g. The number of cavities is 1 to 48, corresponding to bottle capacities from 18.9 l to 200 ml. PET110 and PET150 can respectively mould 3-gallon (12.5 l) and 5-gallon (18.9 l) bottle preforms in a single cavity mould.

Thick walled preforms need a long holding time during which shrinking due to cooling is compensated for. I
