Santalum spicatum is a native species of Australia and grows in the harsh desert regions of Western Australian from where it is gathered and steam distilled under controlled conditions to produce pure essential sandalwood oil. Eco oil This is similar product, but instead of green timber, naturally dried timber is used to produce an oil with more delicate sandalwood fragrance. Resin (sandalwood) Extracted for the timber in a different process, it is used in many applications were commercial fragrances are required, soaps, shampoos etc. Spent charge (sandalwood) These are small practicals of sandalwood once the majority of the oil has been extracted, it retains the lovely fragrance and is used in a variety of products such as, joss sticks, food smokers etc
Fire tree oil (Xanthorrhoea pressi) commonly called grass trees. The odour profile is similar to Agar wood, an extremely costly and important perfume ingredient. All these products are available in commercial quantities and we welcome inquiries. David Bliss
